You can do this by making a list of all the things that you love about yourself or reflecting on compliments that you’ve received from friends and family members. Your partner will bring their own set of expectations, values and experiences to the table – and they will either line up with yours or they wo n’t. Usually, the refusal that we experience in dating feels consequently personal because we are allowing it to identify us.

When we feel doubtful of ourselves or anxious, it’s easy to overdo every small aspect about our interactions with other people. This can be time consuming and energy drained. The key to overcoming these anxieties is by practicing ego- adore and teaching to be ok with failing.
